This was our Barn Cake with Animals for our Farm Breakfast! The barn was golden butter cake with buttercream icing and marshmellow fondant. The roof was made of choc. wafers. The grass and hay were coconut shavings. The cupcakes were pigs and cows. We had to have barn animals! The kids loved the piggy cupcakes!

Hulk Cake - September 2009
My sweet friend who calls me 'the cake lady', requested this Hulk Cake. He actually chose three cakes that he liked and we combined ideas from each cake.
This was also my very first pound cake and I have to admit it was very tasty! The cake was iced in buttercream icing. The 'breakout' and stones were marshmellow fondant. Hulk was just a plastic figurine.

Scroll Cake - October 2009
This was a very special cake for a friend. However, it was ordered, baked, decorated, and delivered all within a 24 hour period! ! ! With an internet copy of the invitation being the only thing to go by! I was also asked to incorporate the number 24 which was very special to the birthday lady.
The cake turned out the be a six layered, three tiered (very heavy) cake. The top layers were Devil's Food and the Bottom layer was Golden Butter. The entire cake was iced in buttercream icing. The scrollwork was homemade chocolate icing. Accents and decorations were black satin ribbon. From what I understand, the cake was liked by all! It was truly an honor to make this cake!
Baby Bottom - July 2009
Skates - August 2009
This was my LEAST favorite cake! I was very upset with how it turned out however; the customer loved it! The cake was chocolate. The skates were golden butter. The ankles were made of rice krispie treats. The wheels and stopper were donuts. The kids loved the cake and loved the variety of donuts, rice krispies, cake, and fondant! At least she was happy with it!
Diego Cake - March 2009
Teapot Cake - May 2009
The Guitar Cake - June 2009
I was very excited to do this cake....but it ended up crashing!! The cake was made to look just like the graduate's favorite guitar. It turned out great...but my moist cakes will not stand upright! This cake crashed and needless to say my customer was not happy. I felt so bad. Here are the pictures of the cake 'after' the crash and my attempt at repairing it.
Mermaid Cake - June 2009
This special friend specifically asked for a Mermaid Cake! It was Golden Butter Cake with Buttercream Icing. The sand was vanilla wafers crushed with metallic gold shimmer. The shells were white chocolate with pink & blue swirled in and molded with a mold. The doll was legless so she could fit into the cake.
Pink & Purple Guitar Cakes - February 2009
Pink & Purple Guitars for my daughter Kayla's 'Rock Diva' Party! The guitar is somewhat small so we did two. The pink was Golden Butter Cake & the purple was Devil's Food Cake. The accents were made with Marshmellow Fondant.....and yes,.....I have since learned that guitars only have 6 six strings...not 5 or 7!
Hamburger Cake - February 2009
This hamburger cake was alot of fun to make. My first attempt with fondant too. The buns were Golden Butter Cake. The Hamburger patty was chocolate cake. The cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles were all fondant. Just enough to test out my marshmellow fondant recipe. The sesame seeds were white chocolate pieces. LOVED this cake and it was perfect for Mrs. Ronnie's Junior Kindergarten Sock Hop!!!
Baptism Cake - March 2009
Pink Scrollwork Birthday Cake - September 2009
Here is a pink 3 tiered cake. The cake was Devil's Food (all three tiers). Decorated with Marshmellow Fondant and Homemade Chocolate Icing. I used real ribbons for the trimwork and artifical flowers for decoration. The ribbons and flowers were great b/c the birthay girl was able to save them and make a small bouquet to remember her 60th birthday by..oops...did I say 60th? ;)
Strawberry Shortcake (Kayla's) - February 2008
Bridal Shower Cake - September 2009
Here is a wedding shower cake. It was Golden Butter Cake with Marshmellow Fondant. This is the first figurine that I have ever made. Figurines are suppose to made out of gumpaste, but I used MMF. It worked for the time being...definently a learning experience! But the bride was pleased with her 'likeness'!
